For referring physicians
A straightforward referral pathway.
The goal is a clean referral loop: quick appointment, clear communication back, and no patient left to navigate between offices.
Scope of practice
Dr. Winograd evaluates and treats adult brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions: spine trauma, cranial trauma, brain and spine tumors (primary and metastatic), minimally invasive degenerative spine, and selected spine deformity. Neurosurgical oncology fellowship training supports depth in tumor cases including awake craniotomy and endonasal pituitary surgery.
Out of scope
We do not perform pediatric neurosurgery, functional neurosurgery (DBS, epilepsy-focused surgery), or endovascular / interventional neurosurgery (thrombectomy, coiling, embolization). Patients in those categories will still be seen and referred appropriately to a sub-specialist we trust.
