Second Opinions

Feel informed and confident. We help you understand your diagnosis, imaging, and options—so you can self-advocate and choose the next step that fits your life.

Option 1

Telemedicine Second Opinion

Purpose: Educational guidance to help you interpret your history, imaging, and treatment options.

  • Ideal for out-of-state patients or those seeking an expert perspective before traveling.
  • Informational only: No physical exam, prescriptions, orders, or medical clearance.
  • No physician–patient relationship is established unless you later consent to ongoing care.
Option 2

In-Person Second Opinion

Purpose: A full clinical appointment with examination and review of imaging.

  • Comprehensive evaluation with objective testing as indicated and clear next-step planning.
  • Appropriate for confirming surgical candidacy or exploring conservative/interventional options.
  • A physician–patient relationship may be established if you consent to ongoing care.

Our Goal

We want you to feel confident—whether that means proceeding with surgery, continuing conservative care, or pursuing another pathway that aligns with your goals and values.

How It Works

  1. Request an appointment online or call the office.
  2. Secure Portal: After we receive your request, our team sends a patient-portal link to upload MRI/CT scans and reports. (No public upload links.)
  3. Bring Questions: Note your goals and concerns—we’ll ensure you’re heard.
  4. Meet the Surgeon: Review history and imaging, discuss options, and confirm a plan.
  5. Next Steps: Receive a summary of recommendations and follow-up instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

Referrals are helpful but not always required. Check your plan; our team can guide you.

Which imaging do you review?

MRI and CT scans with reports. After your request, you’ll receive a secure portal link for uploads.

Will you just recommend surgery?

No. We prioritize conservative and interventional options when appropriate, recommending surgery only when it meaningfully improves outcomes.

Can you coordinate with my current care team?

Yes—with your permission, we share notes and coordinate next steps with your PCP or specialists.
